At the UICR Professional Driver World Championship, drivers compete across a range of commercial vehicle categories that reflect real-life transport operations.

From heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to public service vehicles (PSVs) and light commercial vans, each category demands unique skills, precision, and technical knowledge.

• Truck – including rigid, articulated and drawbar combinations

• Bus/Coach – for passenger transport professionals

• Van/Delivery Vehicle – representing light commercial and urban logistics

Each category reflects a vital part of the global transport industry.

• A) Solo truck
  Single vehicle > 7.5 tonnes, max. 12 metres long, 2.55 metres wide and max. 4.00 metres high, weight from 7.5 tonnes to max. 18 tonnes
  
• B) Bus / Coach
  Length with 2/3 axles max. 12 metres, width 2.50 metres and height max. 4.00 metres, weight up to max. 18 tonnes
• C) Articulated lorry
  Is a semi-trailer / prime mover / big rig / tractor-trailer with 4-5 axles, max. 16.5 m, width 2.50 metres and height max. 4.00 metres, weight up to max. 40-44 tonnes
• D) Truck with turntable drawbar trailer
  Truck with trailer 4-5 axles, max. 18.75 m, width 2.50 metres and height max. 4.00 metres, weight up to max. 40 tonnes
  
• E) Young driver under 21 years
  Single vehicle up to 7.5 tonnes, max. 12 metres long, 2.50 metres wide and max. 4.00 metres high, weight from 3.5 tonnes to max. 7.5 tonnes
• F) Delivery van
  Delivery van, 2 axles, max. 12 m long, 2.50 m wide and max. 4.00 m high, weight up to max. 3.5 tonnes
  
• ECO) Economical driving — Articulated lorry
